Hello! I am Galateia Pirounaki, a certified translator and conference interpreter, and a proud member of the Panhellenic Association of Translators, Graduates of the Ionian University (PEEMPIP).
With Greek, English and German as my working languages, I can translate various documents to fit every need and offer professional interpreting services at any event, facilitating communication among people from different cultural and linguistic backgrounds.

Ionian University Graduate
I graduated from the Department of Foreign Languages, Translation and Interpreting of the Ionian University with a Specialisation in Translation in 2020, and I obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in the Specialisation of Interpreting from the same university in 2023.
Traineeship at the Hellenic Army General Staff
Before embarking on my freelancing journey, I worked as a trainee German translator at the Army History Directorate of the Hellenic Army General Staff in Athens.

My name is Galateia Pirounaki, and I was born in Heraklion, Crete, Greece. I have worked as a freelance translator and interpreter in Crete since 2023. I am also a regular member of the Panhellenic Association of Translators, Graduates of the Ionian University.

My business is registered on the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office’s List of Translators and Interpreters in Greece. I offer my services to British citizens who deal with the Greek public services.
Interpreting for National Institutions
I have offered my interpreting services at conferences organised by Greek National institutions such as the Region of Crete, the Greek Ministry of Tourism, and DEDISA.
Schuman Traineeship
A short before starting my freelancing career, I was the first ever Greek translation Schuman Trainee at the Clear Language and Editing Unit of the Directorate General of Translation at the European Parliament in Luxembourg.
